Normal and Inflammatory Human Dental Pulp: a Morphohistochemical Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective:The aim of this studywas to characterize the structure of normal and inflammed pulpal connective tissue on samples of human dental pulp and recently extracted teeth. Materials andMethods:Morphological and histochemical stainingmethodswere used in order to reveal the particular cell types and fibers present in dental pulp, in normal and inflammatory conditions. Results: In the pathological pulp tissuewe demonstrated the presence ofmast cells, deposits of glycosaminoglycans, the absence of elastic fibers, andmassive deposition of calcium carbonate and phosphate, disposed in three patterns:massive and compact, linear, and fine granular. Discussions and Conclusions:One particular aspect is represented by the vascular proliferation around nerve fibers, an aspect that is similar to that of the angiogenesis model, especially in areaswith abundant inflammatory infiltrate. The phenotype of pulpal cells is still amatter of controversy.

Isolation, Culture, and Characterization of Human Dental Pulp Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Introduction Based on previous researches, dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) are easily accessible with limited morbidity after collection. Their embryonic origin, from neural crests, explains their multipotency. DPSCs are primarily derived from the pulp tissues of the teeth. Objective: This study was undertaken to isolate, culture, and characterize two different third molar and first premolar hum...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical aspects of the evaluation of the inflammatory answer of the dental pulp.
The inflammatory answer of the dental pulp in front of an antigen presents a series of particularities caused by its special anatomical conditions. The evaluation of the inflammatory answer in the evaluation tests of the biocompatibility of the dental materials is made by histological methods without defining precise quantitative criteria to measure the pulp reaction. In this study, we followed...

Objective(s): Biocompatibility of dental biomaterials plays a critical role in regeneration of dental stem cells. The aim of present study was to evaluate the effects of novel biomaterials of TheraCal-LC (TheraCal; Bisco), Angelus mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA; Angelus), calcium-enriched mixture (CEM; BioniqueDent), and Biodentine (Septodont) on viability of human de...
متن کاملEvaluation of Periodontal Disease Effect on the Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Nerve Growth Factor in Dental Pulp
Introduction: Researchers have always been interested in the close and mutual relationship between the pulp and periodontal tissues. Although the effects of pulpal disease on periodontium have been well known, the clear relationship between periodontitis and pulp has not been documented . It seems that bacteria and inflammatory products of periodontitis can affect pulp through accessory canals,...
